Provisoning Cloud PCs
To set up a new Cloud PC for a user, add the user to Cloud PC Users group in Entra ID:
**IMPORTANT** - We have 90 licences. Please always check how many active Cloud PC's we have in Intune. If you add a user to the Entra group, the PC will never provision until you make a licence available.
ALSO - once you have removed a PC, it will be in a 7 day cooling off period. If you need the licence right away, you need to manually force it to action that immediately (also via Intune)
- Provisioning takes about 2 hours. However, ideally the Cloud PC would be provisioned the day before (or earlier).
- The provisioning status can be monitored in Intune here:
Note: If the user tries to connect straight after the provisioning completes, they may get an error. They’ll just need to wait another 5 or 10 minutes for the process to actually complete
De-provisioning Cloud PCs
To de-provision a Cloud PC for a user, simply remove the user from the Cloud PC Users group in Entra ID.
The Cloud PC will move into a grace period state (see below) for 7 days. This is to protect against accidental de-provisinong. After the 7 days, it will be automtically deleted
